Since December 2014, Adam Land has been Senior Director of the Remedies Business and Financial Analysis (RBFA) Group of the Competition and Markets Authority. The RBFA Group is a multi-disciplinary professional group responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring workable remedies and is the CMA’s centre of excellence in financial and business analysis. Prior to taking up this role, Adam was the project director for the CMA’s payday lending market investigation and he has led the development and implementation of remedies in several Competition Commission market investigations, including PPI and Home Credit. Adam’s professional background is in economics and policy making - as well as working for the UK competition authorities, Adam spent 5 years at HM Treasury where among other things, he led the analysis of payment systems in the Cruickshank review of banking services.
