Tanya is Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Chief Economic and Policy Advisor. She has extensive competition and regulatory experience, having worked in the competition team at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) as well as the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) where she was responsible for developing policy frameworks and conducting economic analysis for investigation of competition cases. Since joining the Firm, Tanya continues to specialise in competition law as well as telecommunication and media policy and regulation. Her work in the Competition & Antitrust Practice covers all aspects of competition law, ranging from merger assessments and notifications, to assessing the competitive impact of conduct and agreements on competition, for the purpose of defending cases under investigation. Tanya also works regularly on matters involving free trade agreements and the digital economy, as well as trade regulatory matters including voluntary disclosures to the regulator. Within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice, Tanya assists extensively on sectoral licence applications and regulatory advice, and manages telecommunication regulatory submissions for clients. She works regularly with technology players and social media players to provide inputs on cutting-edge regulatory issues in the sector. Tanya has been recognised over the years as a leading competition economist and trade consultant in the international Who’s Who Legal Competition: Economists, Who’s Who Legal Consulting Experts: Competition Economists and Who’s Who Legal Trade & Customs - Economists & Anti-Dumping Consultants. Tanya holds a Masters in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College London, and lectures at a Singapore university on competition law.
