Aleksandr B. Livshits is a special counsel in the Antitrust Department, resident in Fried Frank’s New York office, where he is a member of the Antitrust and Competition Practice. Mr. Livshits’ practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, including complex cross-border transactions, criminal and civil antitrust litigation, and antitrust compliance counseling. He has represented a variety of clients before the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission and he has extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, retail, media, and high technology, among others. Mr. Livshits is recognized by Legal 500 in Antitrust: Merger Control. Mr. Livshits currently serves as a Chair to the Mergers Committee of the Antitrust Section of the New York State Bar Association and as a Vice Chair to the Antitrust Section’s Legislation Committee of the American Bar Association. Mr. Livshits has written on various antitrust topics and has contributed articles to The M&A Lawyer, The New York Law Journal and The Deal Pipeline. He has also drafted the chapter on antitrust considerations for the M&A treatise Takeover Defense: Mergers and Acquisitions.
