David is an industrialist economist with over 15 years of experience of advising clients on the economic analysis of all aspects UK and EU competition law, particularly in relation to mergers and acquisitions, market investigations, abuse of dominance and cartel cases. He has also published a number of professional articles on the subject. He has acted for clients across a diverse range of industries including financial services, public transport, newspapers, betting, media, healthcare, supermarkets, pharmaceuticals, software, and producer and consumer goods, and has provided economic advice on cases in various jurisdictions across Europe and in Australia. In the last 18 months, David has advised on a number of significant cases including the CMA’s retail banking market investigation (for Lloyds), advising Vectura in relation to its £441m merger with Skyepharma, and advising Xchanging plc in relation to the unconditional clearance of its acquisition of Agencyport Europe, following the first Phase 2 reference made by the CMA.
