Mr. Dhanani is a Senior Managing Counsel, New Payment Platforms, at Master in New York, where he supports the development of digital payments and the relationships with Mastercard’s partners in the digital space, including operating systems, device manufacturers, telcos, merchant enablers, wallet operators and social networks. Prior to joining Mastercard, Malik worked at the Brussels, New York and London offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton where he advised on complex technology transactions and the interplay between intellectual property and antitrust law with a particular focus on standard-setting and FRAND licensing. Malik received an LL.M. degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2008 and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2006. He is a member of the Bars in Brussels and New York. Malik is also a mentor with the Future Leaders Foundation.
