Caroline Préel joined Toyota in 2020 as a Corporate Lawyer. Previously, She worked as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling. Caroline’s practice focused on EU, Spanish and French Competition law, including general antitrust counseling and representing clients in antitrust litigations and investigations. She also advised clients in obtaining antitrust authority clearances for M&A and joint venture transactions before the European Commission and other national competition authorities across the world. Caroline counseled clients in a wide variety of industries, including defense, high tech, aviation, telecommunications, publishing, and specialty chemicals. Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, Caroline has acquired experience working at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (DG COMP), in the Mergers, Energy and Environment Unit.
