Cornelius Dube is an Economist with more than 15 years of experience in economic and social science research. He holds a Bachelors and a Master’s Degree in economics obtained from the University of Zimbabwe (2002 and 2004 respectively). He is currently a PhD (Economics) Student at the University of KwaZulu Natal (Durban, South Africa) and is employed as a Senior Research Fellow by the Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Unit (ZEPARU). He has worked for the Government of Zimbabwe (2004); Competition and Tariff Commission, Zimbabwe (2004-2007); CUTS International, Jaipur, India (2007-2009) as well as ZEPARU (2010 up to present). A former competition practitioner and competition advocacy, Cornelius has researched extensively on competition policy and law issues across the African context as well as India, in line with previous employment history. In addition to competition policy and law, he has also researched on economic regulation, manufacturing sector, economic governance, infrastructure development and international trade, among others.
