David Imhof is an Economist at COMCO (Swiss Competition Commission). Since joining COMCO in 2011, he has crucially contributed to develop empirical methods for detecting bid-rigging cartels in Switzerland. He also worked on major bid-rigging cases in the construction division of COMCO. Holding a MA in Economics from the University of Fribourg, he achieved in 2018 a PhD degree in Economics in a cotutelle agreement between the University of Bourgogne Franche- Comté and the University of Fribourg. Empirical methods for detecting bid-rigging cartels is the subject of his PhD thesis. He is fluent in French, German and English.
