Eugene Orlov is a Financial Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining the SEC, he was a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University. Eugene specializes in applying complicated economic and econometric tools to finance, competition, and antitrust cases including mergers, regulatory proceedings and litigation matters. His research on the airline industry has been published in leading academic journals including American Economics Journal: Micro, the Journal of Industrial Economics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the International Journal of Industrial Organization.
