Germain Gaudin is Professor of Economic Policy and Competition Economics at the University of Freiburg (Germany) since 2020. Prior to joining the University of Freiburg, Germain was an Assistant Professor at Copenhagen Business School, an Economist in the Chief Economist Team at DG Competition, and a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Duesseldorf. Germain obtained his PhD in Economics in 2013 from Telecom Paris, and graduated from the University Paris Dauphine (MSc Economics), Telecom Paris (MSc Engineering), and the University of Angers (BSc Physics). Germain’s research interests include various topics in Competition Economics, Law & Policy, in particular Unilateral conducts, Mergers, and Vertical agreements.
