Dr Ivana Rakić is the Head of the Assessment of Concentrations Division at the Commission for Protection of Competition of the Republic of Serbia, since 2015, as well as an External Associate of the Institute of Comparative Law in Belgrade. Prior to joining the Serbian Competition Authority, Ivana Rakić worked as a Research Fellow of the Institute of Comparative Law, since 2011. She also worked as an Intern in the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, Austria (May-June 2017). Ivana received her law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade in 2005 and her PhD (Cum Laude) from the same Faculty in 2014. The title of her doctoral thesis was ‘Concentrations of Undertakings in the Republic of Serbia with a Review on European Union Law’ (in Serbian). She has significant experience in a range of competition issues, considering that she focuses her practice on Serbian, EU and comparative competition law since 2005. Ivana publishes regularly in professional and academic journals and has more than 50 published articles. Research interests include: (comparative) competition law, company law, commercial law, energy law, GMO, organic production and brownfields revitalization.
