Kane Abry-Diaw de Baye is, since January 2023, of cousel at DER Juridik in Stockholm. He was previously permanent assistant clerk in the Committee Office of the Scottish Parliament. He also worked in close partnership with the Head of School and the Senior Management Team at the University of Edinburgh. Kane Abry-Diaw de Baye holds a LL.M in European Law at Edinburgh Law School. Before joining the University of Edinburgh, he read for a Diploma in English Law at The University of London Institute in Paris, a LL.B. (Hons) in English and French Law and German Language and an MA in Business and Financial Markets Law at Faculté Jean Monnet-Université Paris-Saclay. Kane is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the University of Edinburgh. His thesis focused on the assessment of the development of a general principle of contract based on consensus in early-modern legal thought and will challenge the accepted macro-narratives of European legal history.
