Michael J. Meurer

Michael J. Meurer is Professor, Abraham and Lillian Benton Scholar, and Faculty Director of Technology and Policy Research Initiative, at Boston University School of Law. He has served as a visiting professor of law at Harvard University, National University of Singapore, and University of Victoria. Previously, he taught law at the University at Buffalo, and economics at Duke University. His research has been supported by grants and gifts from the Ford Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Kauffman Foundation, Google, and the Charles Koch Foundation. Early in his career he was a post-doctoral member of the Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs, and an Olin Faculty Fellow at Yale Law School. He has conducted expert work in merger and patent litigation cases, and he has done consulting and presentations in various settings at the FTC and the USPTO.
