Nadezhda Sporysheva is an Economic Affairs Officer in the Intellectual Property, Government Procurement and Competition Division of the World Trade Organization. Her responsibilities include the administration of the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement, related technical assistance activities and research on government procurement and competition policy, including its interface with intellectual property. Her experience in the fields of international trade, government procurement, and competition policy includes working in various roles for the UNECE, EBRD, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Foreign Trade Analytical Center in Russia. She received a Master’s degree in Economics from the National University Higher School of Economics in Russia. She also holds a Master of International Law and Economics (MILE) degree from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland, where she received the Thomas Cottier Award for the best graduating thesis.
