Caranina (Nina) Colpaert is a Ph.D. researcher and teaching assistant at the KU Leuven, Faculty of Law (Institute for Consumer, Competition and Market). She prepares a doctoral thesis on the legal framework affecting medicine shortages, with prof. Wouter Devroe as supervisor and prof. Isabelle Huys as co-supervisor. Before starting as a Ph.D. researcher, Caranina obtained her Bachelor and Master of Laws at the KU Leuven, graduating magna cum laude in July 2019. As a part of her master’s program, she studied a semester at the University of Sydney. During her studies, Caranina was an editor at Jura Falconis, KU Leuven’s law review. She also completed a number of legal internships, among others with Allen & Overy and Linklaters.
