Samantha Knox is Associate General Counsel, Competition at Facebook, where she works with her colleagues to give people power to build community and bring the world closer together. Prior to joining Facebook, Ms. Knox was Antitrust Litigation Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell for 8 years. She has represented clients in the technology, telecommunications, and financial services industries in a diverse range of multi-district and other complex civil litigation matters and government investigations. Ms Knox has experience litigating a wide range of antitrust issues in federal and state courts, including cases involving international cartels, patent licensing, patent misuse, price fixing, standard-setting organisations, and tying and bundling discounts. Ms. Knox is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law, and currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Committee Operations Committee. She clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit, and for the Montana Supreme Court. Ms. Knox holds a JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a B.A. in English, and Political Science from the University of California - Berkeley.
