Swati Bala is a competition law / antitrust lawyer. She has extensive experience in mergers and enforcement matters, including phase II mergers and cartel investigations. Her practice spans varied industry sectors such as e-commerce and digital platforms, banking, automotive, pharmaceutical, energy, multimedia and entertainment, telecom, and consumer goods. She has been actively involved in the legislative reforms of the Indian competition law, including the Competition (Amendment) Act, 2023. Previously, she worked as a principal associate with the competition team at Khaitan & Co. and holds a master’s degree in competition law from the University of Cambridge, where she was Pratibha M Singh Cambridge Scholar. She has also been recognized by publications such as the Legal 500.
