Ulrich Laitenberger, PhD, is an associate Professor in Information Management at Tilburg University. Before that, he was a professor in the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at Télécom Paris and a Research Fellow at the ZEW and a research affiliate at Cesifo. His research interests include empirical industrial organization, competition policy, and the economics of digitization, with a focus on the design and impact of digital markets and platforms. Before joining Télécom Paris, he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Research Department "Digital Economy" at ZEW, as well as at the University of Mannheim. He holds a PhD in applied economics from Leuven, which he earned in November 2015.
