Christian Ritz


Christian Ritz is a German qualified Antitrust and Competition lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) at Hogan Lovells in Munich. He is a member of Hogan Lovells’ Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice group and specializes in European and German competition law as well as European state aid law. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Christian practiced antitrust and competition law at the Berlin office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He also gained valuable experience in the EU public policy arena while working for Alber & Geiger in Berlin and Brussels. Christian was born in Bonn, Germany in 1982. He undertook his legal education at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Université Paris-Sud, France, focusing on European and Public International Law. He obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of Sydney, Australia. He trained with international law firms in Berlin as well as with the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Christian publishes regularly on antitrust, regulatory and related matters.
