Mr. Garcia’s antitrust and competition practice focuses on antitrust investigations and matters relating to the clearance of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. His practice includes counseling and training on antitrust compliance matters. Mr. Garcia has also represented clients in cartel and monopolization litigation. He has experience representing clients in matters involving a wide variety of industries, including financial services, media, consumer products, commodities, pharmaceuticals, and information technology. In addition to his antitrust and competition practice, Mr. Garcia has experience in general commercial litigation, including bet-the-company litigation. His litigation practice focuses on all aspects of corporate litigation, including healthcare litigation, complex commercial disputes, appellate litigation, and defending shareholder derivative actions. Prior to joining Fried Frank, Mr. Garcia was an associate at a leading global litigation firm, a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia Emerson Hopkins of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, an intern in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, and a probation officer in Augusta, Georgia. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Antitrust Section.
