Julian Pena Allende & Brea


Julián Peña is the head of Allende & Brea’s antitrust practice group in Argentina since 2004. Previously, he was a legal advisor of different Ministers of Economy, Secretaries of Trade of Argentina, and of the Argentine Antitrust Commission. Currently he is a professor at the LL.M. in Law and Economics of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Julián is also the founder and moderator of ForoCompetencia (www.ForoCompetencia.com); Vice-Chair of the Antitrust Committee of the International Bar Association; member of the International Developments and Comments Task Force of the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association; and member of the Advisory Board of the Fordham Competition Law Institute and of the American Antitrust Institute. He published the book Control de Concentraciones Económicas. (2002), co-edited the book Competition Law in Latin America (2016), and has published many chapters and articles on competition law. Julián has been selected among the 40 best under-40 competition lawyers in the world twice (in 2008 and 2012) among other recognitions.
