Miranda Cherkas Sherrill graduated in 2020 from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Originally from a rural area in north Georgia, USA, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago as a first-generation scholar and then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sydney, Australia, speaking Mandarin. She is currently a clerk for the Honorable Justice Carla Wong McMillian on the Supreme Court of Georgia, and in the coming years she will clerk for Judge Ryan Nelson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, before returning as an Associate to Jones Day in Washington, DC. She and her husband met in their first-year section in law school and welcomed their first child earlier this year.
