Olivia Bodnar DICE (Duesseldorf)


Olivia Bodnar studied economics with a focus on competition economics at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at the Heinrich-Heine-University. From 2014 to 2017 she was employed at DICE as a student assistant where she worked on several topics in competition economics. During that time she also worked on two projects with the German Monopolies Commission, an independent advisory body that advises the federal government and the legislative bodies in the areas of competition policy and regulation. Since 2017 she is a doctoral researcher at DICE where she empirically evaluates different market interventions in competition economics in Europe with the main focus on electricity and health care markets. During that time she also visited the Center for Health Economics at the University of York for two months.
