Yves Comtois is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s competition law group in Montréal. He advises a broad range of Canadian and international clients in all areas of competition law, including mergers and acquisitions, business practices, and marketing practices. He practised competition law for three years with a Brussels (Belgium) law firm before joining McCarthy Tétrault, and received a diploma of specialised studies in competition law from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). Mr Comtois received his BA in 1986 and his civil and common law degrees in 1990 from McGill University. He also received his diploma of specialised studies in competition law from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) in 1991. Mr Comtois was called to the Quebec bar in 1995.
