Although Saudi Arabia’s current merger control regime is relatively nascent, having come into effect under a new Competition Law and Implementing Regulations in late 2019, the GAC nonetheless has made considerable strides in streamlining its merger review procedures and expanding enforcement. This note highlights key recent developments.
